PRIVACY
The short version: this site collects almost nothing about you. The long version is below, in plain language.
This is the personal portfolio and blog of Clare Tenewaa Duku, a data and business analyst based in Accra, Ghana. The site lives at claretenewaa.com. For anything privacy related, email [email protected].
Very little. There are no user accounts, no contact forms, no newsletter and no tracking pixels. If you email me or connect on LinkedIn, I see what you choose to send, and nothing more.
Like almost every website, the server that hosts this site keeps technical logs (your IP address, browser type and the pages you request). Those logs exist for security and troubleshooting, and I do not use them to identify visitors.
If you leave a comment on a blog post, the name, email address and comment text you submit are stored with the post. Your browser may also be offered cookies that remember your details for next time, which is a convenience you can decline. An anonymised string created from your email address may be shared with the Gravatar service to check whether you have a profile picture there.
This site does not set advertising or analytics cookies. The only cookies you may encounter are the optional comment-convenience cookies described above, and a temporary cookie if you ever log in, which only applies to me as the site owner.
If I add privacy-respecting analytics in future, this page will be updated first to say exactly what is measured.
The site’s typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser requests the font files from Google’s servers and Google receives your IP address as part of that request, as with any file the internet delivers. Blog posts may occasionally embed content (for example a video) from other websites; embedded content behaves as if you had visited that website directly, including any cookies it sets.
If you have ever left a comment or emailed me, you can ask to see the data I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Email [email protected] and I will sort it out. Ghana’s Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) is the primary law that applies to this site; if you are visiting from the EU or UK, the equivalent GDPR rights apply to you too.
If how the site handles data changes, this page changes with it, with the date below updated. Last updated: 30 July 2026.
