The challenge

Retention and go-to-market decisions are too important to run on instinct. The business needed a continuous, structured read on competitor activity, pricing dynamics and market trends, connected to what our own churn and engagement data was saying.

The approach

I combined external market monitoring with internal lifecycle analytics: diagnosing churn and engagement drivers from large subscriber datasets, mapping them against competitor moves and price changes, and identifying where we were exposed and where the opportunity was. Findings were packaged the way decisions actually get made: business cases, pitch materials and concrete recommendations with numbers attached.

The outcome

The analysis stream informed retention and go-to-market decisions, from offer design to segment prioritisation. It also sharpened a personal conviction: analysis only counts when it survives contact with a commercial meeting.
